Auditing

Troy Development carry out audits for clients – a jointly written document highlighting the areas the company wishes to audit. Much like an audit from the enforcement officers. Many clients use these as part of a bonus incentive scheme, and are also a very effective coaching tool to develop an understanding of the implications of health & safety and food hygiene. These audits enable clients to get the best out of their teams thus ensuring legislation is constantly being adhered to and monitored as part of the daily routine – not just when the inspector calls!!

The checklists tend to include:

•  Presentation and company specific standards of practice

•  Basic legal points – temperature controls and clothing

•  Recommendations and desirable standards

•  Reviews of the documentation, as well as the operational procedures followed (cooking dishes or preparing drinks etc.)
